China has voiced hope that the current political process in Egypt will witness peaceful progress. The Chinese stance was made by Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei reply to a question from MENA correspondent during a daily briefing. Meantime, Chinese media outlets are following the developments of the situation in Egypt after violent clashes in protest against the constitutional declaration issued by President Mohamed Morsi.
