Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has said ties and cooperation with Sudan would witness a remarkable progress in the coming years, a Sudanese daily reported Wednesday.

Al-Ray Aam daily said Wang made his comments in a message to his Sudanese counterpart Ibrahim Ghandour to congratulate him on the new post.

China's top diplomat said his country is keen on boosting ties with Sudan in all fields, the message said.
