China has praised progress achieved in cooperation with Egypt at the political and commercial levels and in various fields related to cultural and popular domains, said Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hong Lei.

China supports any efforts to enhance friendship binding between both countries and their peoples, added the spokesman.

President Xi Jinping will visit Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran next week, Beijing's foreign ministry said Friday.
