China fully supports the Palestinian people's right to a recognized state, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hong Lei.
In statements on Friday, Hong stressed his country's concern about the Palestinian cause. A delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s Ministerial Contact Committee on Defending the Cause of Palestine started a visit to China earlier today.
He added that the delegation, under Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, will meet with China's Vice President Li Yuanchao.
The meeting will take up ways to reach a just and comprehensive settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
