China will elect its new state leaders, including the President, on March 5, when the first plenary session of the 12th National People’s Congress (NPC) will be held. Chinese news agency (Xinhua) reported today that the 30th meeting of the 11th NPC Standing Committee, that concluded today, agreed on the date as well as the agenda that will be discussed. The 12 National Congress is expected to last two weeks.
