Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a cable of greeting to Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir on his re-election.

Official sources here said the Chinese president highlighted the relations binding the two countries, terming them as "good partners".

He said relations between the two countries are based on trust and mutual cooperation.

The Chinese leader pledged to continue work to bolster the two countries relations.

He said China fully respects the choices of the Sudanese people, voicing readiness to push the two countries' relations forward.
