Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy, Environmental Protection Minister Chen Jining will attend the inauguration ceremony of Sudanese President Omar al Bashir in Khartoum, the Foreign Ministry announced.

Chen's visit comes at the invitation of Bashir. The ceremony will be held on June 2, Spokesperson Hua Chunying said Thursday.
