U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday arrived in Cairo for a multiple-hour visit to Egypt as part of her current regional tour that aims to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Clinton is set to meet with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsy in order to discuss ceasefire efforts. She met earlier in Ramallah with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, where they reviewed efforts for a comprehensive truce that ends the week-long Israeli aggression on Gaza. U.S. President Barack Obama delegated Clinton to a Middle East tour that included Israel, Ramallah and Egypt in order to mediate among the different sides and end the ongoing hostilities.
