The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) on Sunday thanked Latin America leaders for supporting its peace negotiations with the Colombian government.

A peace agreement between FARC and the Colombian government will finally turn Latin America into an area of peace, said FARC in a statement. "The peace of Colombia is the peace of the continent."

At the 7th Summit of the Americas held in Panama City on Friday and Saturday, most leaders voiced their support for the peace negotiations held in Havana, Cuba between FARC and the Colombian government.
