Ramallah - WAFA
A military court hearing for two striking prisoners scheduled for Tuesday was delayed by 24 hours because of the prisoners’ health, according to the Prisoners Club. It said, quoting its attorney Jawad Boulus, that the Ofer military court, which was supposed to discuss extending the administrative detention order against Jaafar Izzidin and Tareq Qadan, decided to postpone the session until Wednesday after it was clear the two prisoners were not in a suitable health condition to be brought to the court near Ramallah. Izzidin and Qadan are presently in Asaf Harofeh hospital near Tel Aviv where they were transferred following deterioration in their health after three months of hunger strike protesting their administrative detention without charge or trial. Boulus said the court hopes that the two prisoners will be able to attend the court hearing on Wednesday, but if they will not then the session will be held at the hospital.
