The Arab League (AL) condemned on Sunday the recurrent storming of al Aqsa mosque by Israeli extremists.

AL Assistant Secretary General for Palestine and Other Occupied Lands Affairs Mohamed Sobieh has warned of attempts to raise the Israeli flag at the Islamic holy sites in the Palestinian territories.

He further called on the Arab countries to stand up to the Israeli unprecedented assaults against worshipers and imams of al Aqsa mosque.

Sobieh stressed that plans by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to control al Aqsa mosque will not succeed.
