Croatia has voiced support for Egypt's efforts to combat terrorism and eradicate extremism in all its forms, praising the outcome of the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC).
This came during a round of political consultations between Egypt and Croatia held at the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
Egypt Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Ambassador Hatem Seif el Nasr chaired the Egyptian side, while Croatia Assistant Foreign Minister for Extra-European Affairs Dubravka Marković led her country's side.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry said talks covered means of bolstering relations in all domains, the latest developments in Libya, Syria, Iraq and the Palestinian issue.
Ambassador Seif el Nasr said he is satisfied over the talks, noting that the Croatian side was deeply interested in getting briefed on the current steps taken by Egypt as regards the roadmap plan and preparations for the parliamentary elections.
The Croatian official, for her part, praised the outcome of EEDC and said it will have a positive impact at the EU level and would serve means of bolstering trade and investment relations.
