Apprehending law and order problems ahead of the sacred 10th day of the Muslim month of Muharram, authorities Wednesday imposed curfew in parts of Srinagar city in the north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, around 900 km from India's national capital. "Curfew has been imposed in seven police station areas of the city as a precautionary measure," District Magistrate of Srinagar Farooq Ahmed Shah said.
