Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades welcomed the visit of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Cyprus.

Sisi's visit to Cyprus is the first to be paid by an Egyptian president in several years.

He also welcomed the visit of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Cyprus.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Cyprus, Anastasiades said that the meeting dealt with ways of boosting ties in the various spheres.
