Czech embassy denies upping alert on travelling to Egypt

The Czech embassy in Cairo denied reports by the Turkish news agency Anadolu alleging that the Czech Foreign Ministry upped security alert concerning travelling to Egypt.

In a statement on Tuesday, the embassy said the ministry did not change its travel advice to Egypt on the back of the recent terror attack on the Hurghada luxurious Bella Vista Hotel in which several people were injured.

The foreign ministry called on its nationals planning to travel to Egypt to be cautious and on alert.
