Czech President Milos Zeman said he is looking forward to meeting Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi as soon as possible.

Zeman's remark came after ambassador Amany Fahmy submitted credentials as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Egypt on Thursday.

Fahmy's meeting with the Czech president tackled ways of boosting bilateral ties.

The Czech president, meanwhile, voiced full support to the Egyptian government in its fight against terrorism.

Fahmy invited the Czech president to open the international book fair in Prague and the Egyptian pavilion.

Egypt is the guest of honor of the fair, which will be opened in May.
