Czech FM Lubomir Zaoralek

Czech Foreign Minister Lubomir Zaoralek said Friday that his country had proposed establishing camps to shelter illegal migrants in Libya.

Czech already made a proposal to that effect to the EU as a solution to the current problem of immigration, Zaoralek said.

The top diplomat's remarks came after the interim Libyan government refused EU plans to take an individual military action against boats carrying illegal migrants off the Libyan shores.

The Libyan government called on the legitimate security and military institutions in the country to cooperate to counter such phenomena.
