Libya's Daesh branch claimed responsibility on Sunday for a double attack in Tripoli which targeted the Iranian embassy and the Iranian ambassador's residence.
The group broadcasted footage of the attack on its Twitter account, showing the explosion of the embassy in Tripoli city.
Earlier, Libyan Security Operations Spokesman Essam Al-Na'as told KUNA that unknown individuals, using a vehicle with two improvised bombs, targeted the Iranian embassy on the city's Bin Ashor Street.
The embassy building was damaged but no diplomats were inside the building, he went on to say, adding that the nearby Ukrainian and Portuguese embassies were also damaged due to the attack.
