The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee raised $6.6 million in January, more than its Republican counterpart, committees' data indicated. The DSCC also announced the $6.6 million raised in the first month of 2014 brings to $15 million the amount of cash the committee had on hand as of Jan. 31, Roll Call reported. The committee said it also paid down its debt to $2.5 million. The National Republican Senatorial Committee announced Tuesday it raised $4.6 million in January and ended the month with more than $10 million cash on hand. The committee said it isn't carrying any debt.
