Djibouti's Foreign Minister Mahamoud Ali Youssouf

Djibouti supports Arab countries, which took a decision to launch military operations against Houthis' strongholds in Yemen due to the dangerous situation gripping the country, said Djibouti's Foreign Minister Mahamoud Ali Youssouf.
In exclusive statements to MENA Thursday, Youssouf said that dangerous situation in Yemen is not only limited to it, but it extends also to its neighboring countries, including Djibouti, which is away from Yemen by about 20 kilometers.
Djibouti is awaiting the outcome of the worsening security situation in Yemen, he added.
The Arab countries realized that leaving the security situation to deteriorate will affect the national security sooner or later, he said.
He further pointed out to the proposal of Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to establish a joint Arab military force, adding that Djibouti supports this initiative.
