Donor conference seeks to increase funds for Syrian refugees

British Foreign Office spokesperson Farah Dakhllalah said on Tuesday the Syria donor conference to be held in London on Thursday is aimed at raising funds to meet the humanitarian and development needs of the Syrians.

In statements to MENA correspondent in London, Dakhlallah pointed out that Britain allocated 1.1 billion Pounds Sterling to contribute to resolving the Syrian crisis.

The British spokesperson added that the hosts of the conference, namely Britain, Norway, Kuwait and the United Nations invited leaderships from 70 countries and world organizations to London to discuss the humanitarian needs of the Syrians.
