The driver involved in last month\'s tanker explosion in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia admitted he was speeding and the brakes of his gas tanker could not work, according to local Okaz newspaper\'s report on Saturday. The gas tanker collision and the subsequent explosion that occurred late last month caused great casualties, 22 dead and 133 injured, in addition to major financial losses. The driver said he did not know his driving speed but admitted he was speeding. \"I did not know that such an explosion could occur. I tried to control the vehicle but the brakes weren\'t working.\" The driver arrived in Saudi Arabia one year before and joined a gas company only recently.
