Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Milan Abdul Nasser Bukhaddor extolled here on Saturday efforts of the Italian-Kuwaiti Friendship Society in promoting communication and solidarity between the two countries and peoples for more than two decades. This came during Bukhaddor's visit to the Society's founder Pieradrea Vanni who expressed his content for meeting the Kuwaiti delegation in Florence which was the center of solidarity with the people of Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion ordeal. He praised the role played by the society in highlighting Kuwait's heritage, culture, various accomplishments as well as the Arabic language and its efforts in the facilitation of bilateral cooperation at all levels. For his part, Vanni, who took Bukhaddor on a tour of Florence city, hailed the twinship agreement signed with the Kuwaiti capital recently. He recalled the role played by the city of Florence during the Iraqi invasion saying it was a symbol of solidarity and friendship. Vanni also noted the role of the Society in the teaching of the Arabic language, various cultural activities on Kuwait and the Arab world, stemming from their role in the substantiation of bridges of cohesiveness between Europe and the Arab world.
