Egypt's Ambassador to Mali Nasser Hamzawi opened on Tuesday a kidney dialysis unit in the Malian capital of Bamako.

The unit accommodates 14 dialysis machines sent as a gift from the Egyptian Agency for Development Partnerships, an offshoot of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.

Several Malian officials and media personnel attended the inauguration ceremony.

Hamzawi said Egypt is keen on providing all possible support for the Malian people, especially in the medical field.
