Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs Ambassador Mohamed Farid Mounib wrapped up his visit to Panama Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry said.

During his visit, Mounib held the second round of the Political Consultation Mechanism Meeting between the two countries' foreign ministries.

The talks dealt with ways of boosting cultural ties between Egypt and Panama.

An agreement was reached to name one of the important streets in Panama after Egypt like what was done in Egypt, which named one of the main streets in Port Said after Panama.

The two sides also agreed to hold a Political Consultation Mechanism Meeting every year.
