Egypt strongly condemned the terrorist attack that hit a busy market in Maiduguri, the largest city in Nigeria's restive northeastern Borno state, and killed 13 people on Sunday.

In a press release, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid stressed Egypt's solidarity with and support for the government and people of Egypt in the face of terror.
