Egyptian Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi on Saturday met with a US congressmen delegation, under Rodney Frelinghuysen, a senior member of the Appropriations Committee in the US House of Representatives.
During the meeting, means of promoting joint military cooperation and efforts to combat terrorism in the Middle East were discussed in the meeting.
Sobhi expressed pride for the outstanding US-Egyptian military relations.
The delegation, for its part, stressed US support for Egypt in its war against terrorism as well as efforts to restore stability and security.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Mahmoud Hegazy and a number of the Armed Forces' top commanders.
