Egypt's Ambassador to Togo Karim Sherif met Saturday the director of the disarmament and peacekeeping administration of the Togolese Foreign Ministry and the director of the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Africa.

The meeting took up the developments of the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) held in New York, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Togolese side expressed support for Arab efforts aimed to clear the Middle East region of nuclear and mass destruction weapons, the statement added.
