Egypt's envoy to the United Nations Amr Ramadan

Egypt's envoy to the United Nations Amr Ramadan said on Thursday that he was disappointed by a statement issued by the High Commissioner for Human Rights about the human rights issues in Egypt.
"I was greatly disappointed by the statement which contained comments on some cases which are being heard by the Egyptian judiciary," Ramadan said in his briefing before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva to comment on the statement of High Commissioner Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein.
He said that the high commissioner was not entitled to express views on these cases as he was not a judicial body and has no knowledge to evaluate such issues.
There is no judicial jurisdiction inside the UN, he added.
