Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head for Barcelona Sunday to attend the consultative meeting of European Union countries with the Southern Mediterranean countries on the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP).
The meeting will be held with the aim of promoting cooperation and coordination between Egypt and the Mediterranean countries.
Egypt's high-level participation comes as part of its keenness on promoting Euro-Med cooperation in the various spheres.
Shoukry will meet with his counterparts from Arab and European countries on the sidelines of the meeting, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati.
The meetings will take up ways of fostering bilateral ties along with a host of regional issues, topped by combating terrorism, the situation in Libya and Yemen along with the Syrian crisis and the Palestinian cause.
