International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr met with Japanese Ambassador to Egypt Takahiro Kagawa to discuss the final preparations of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit of Tokyo, scheduled late this month.

The Egyptian government is looking forward for an official Japanese pledge to provide funding for resuming the Grand Egyptian Museum project, the minister has said.

She also stressed the importance of cooperating with Japan in the field of small and medium enterprises, which youths, who make up the majority of the Egyptian population, can benefit from.
