Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry read on Wednesday a joint statement following his talks with his counterpart of Mexico Claudia Ruiz Massieu.
"The ministers held talks in Cairo following the tragic incident which left Mexican tourists dead and injured in the Egyptian territories on September 13," said the statement.

Shoukry expressed sorrow at circumstances that surrounded the trip. He expressed the deep solidarity, sorrow, condolences of the Egyptian government for the Mexican government, people and the families of the victims, said the statement .
The Mexican foreign minister met during her visit to Cairo with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Egypt will provide all forms of support for the Mexican side, including best heath care for the injured, as well as facilitations to return the bodies of the wounded to their country.
He asserted the government's commitment to conduct an immediate, transparent and comprehensive probe into the incident.
"Results of the investigation will be taken into account in a proper way and will be implemented," said the statement.
Both sides expressed desire to promote bilateral relations in all fields, according to the statement
