Military spokesman Ahmed Mohamed Ali has praised the high turnout in the two-day referendum on Egypt's draft constitution. "The high turnout in the constitution referendum will be recorded as a great event in the Egyptian history," he said on Wednesday. He hailed police and the army for the role they played in securing polling stations nationwide. The polling stations nationwide witnesses a high turnout during the referendum. The referendum was monitored by hundreds of local and international observers.
