Egypt offered condolences to Chinese people and government over the death of earthquake victims who reached 74 persons.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Badr Abdel Atti has expressed his country's condolences to the Chinese people and government.

A strong earthquake hit Xinjiang region in western China on Friday leaving three persons dead and dozens injured.

It also damaged thousands of houses.
