Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Russian Counterpart Sergi Lavrov underlined the importance of intensifying efforts to combat terrorism, foster national dialogue and respect sovereignty of regional states, Russia's Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Monday.

In a phone call, the ministers discussed the situation in Syria, Libya, North Africa and Middle East as well as the results of the Non-Proliferation Treaty Conference held recently in New York, according to a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

They also underlined their keenness on boosting bilateral relations in all fields.
