Egypt's Grand Mufti Shawki Allam left on Saturday to Oman on a two-day visit to participate in an international conference on "the purposes of Sharia and its contemporary applications". The conference aims to highlight the importance of Sharia (Islamic law) in addressing the new issues and concerns of human life.
