The Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned terrorist attacks by Boko Haram in northeastern Nigeria which killed about 200 people.

Egypt stands by the Nigerian government and people in the face of terrorism, Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said in a statement Saturday.

Abdel Aati condoled with families of the victims.

He urged the world community to shoulder its responsibilities in fighting terrorism, which threatens world security and stability.
