Egypt has strongly condemned the two suicide attacks in Chad that killed 27 people and injured 101 more Monday.

Egypt stands by the government and people of Chad in the fight against terrorism, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

He wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The twin suicide bombings targeted police in the Chadian capital Monday, with the government blaming Boko Haram militants for the bloodshed.
