Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call from US Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday, Spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said.

They discussed preparations for the Egyptian-US strategic dialogue scheduled for July 28-29, Abdel Aati said.

The spokesman said the two top diplomats discussed the latest developments in the region specially the Syrian crisis, Iraq and Yemen.

The talks tackled ways to boost bilateral ties in all fields, the spokesman said.
