Egypt's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday welcomed the signing of the Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation in Mali by the Coordination coalition of armed groups in Bamako.

In a statement, the ministry's Spokesman Badr Abdel Aatti hailed the Algerian-led Mediation team for their efforts to bring the signing process to success.

He urged all parties to abide by the agreement that was an important step on the path towards peace and stability in Mali.
