Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for Cultural Affairs Ambassador Olfat Abdel Fattah met with the adviser to the Frenc foreign minister for religious affairs and the cultural counselor in the French Embassy here.
The meeting is pat of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry efforts exerted to combat extremism and renew religious discourse.
The get-together took up means of fighting terrorism and spreading the moderate teachings of Islam via enhancing cooperation with Al Azhar and Awqaf (Endowments) Ministry.
Abdel Fattah stressed on the importance of providing training programs by Al Azhar for imams in France.
