Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazy on Wednesday met his Malian counterpart Mahamane Toure who is currently visiting Egypt.

The two sides discussed the latest developments and ways of boosting bilateral ties during the coming phase to serve the common interest of both countries.

Hegazy asserted the depth of relations between Egypt and Mali, expressing hope that the two countries would foster cooperation in various areas.

Senior army commanders and the Malian delegation accompanying Toure attended the meeting.
