Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedqi Sobhi received on Sunday Canadian Chief of Staff Thomas James Lawson and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting here.

The meeting took up the latest developments in the Middle East region, means of bolstering military cooperation between the two countries' armed forces and a set of other issues of mutual interest.

Egypt's Chief of Staff General Mahmoud Hegazi and top military brass attended the meeting.
