Egyptian Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi returned to Cairo on Thursday wrapping up a several-day official visit to Russia.
He was accompanied by number of top brass on the visit.
During the visit, Sobhi met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu where they discussed means of promoting joint military cooperation and exchanging expertise between the armed forces of the two countries.
The Russian defense minister stressed his country's support to Egypt in its fight against extremist groups and terrorism.
The two sides inked protocols on bilateral military cooperation.
