Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held on Wednesday contacts with a number of foreign counterparts on boosting bilateral cooperation and regional developments, spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aatti.
Shoukry's contact with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov tackled developments in Yemen and Libya and efforts to evacuate Egyptians stranded in Yemen.
He also held a contact with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius over the Palestinian, Yemeni, Syrian and Libyan crises.
The contact covered preparations for the consultative meeting between the European Union and southern Mediterranean states.
Shoukry contacted Jordanian and Palestinian foreign ministers Nasser Judeh and Riyadh al Malki, respectively, on the Palestinian issue.
