A number of Egyptian embassies abroad sent letters by Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry and his Norwegian counterpart to donor countries to urge them to honor their commitments toward reconstructing Gaza Strip which was hit hard by last summer's Israeli aggression.
Foreign Ministry sources said Egypt's ambassador to the European Union in Brussels and his Norwegian counterpart held talks with European officials while the Egyptian embassy in London held contacts with British officials in charge of Gaza reconstruction.
They said the contacts also dealt with the humanitarian conditions in the Palestinian enclave and means to alleviate the sufferings of the Gazans.
