Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with a delegation of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) led by Professor Tijani Mohammed Bande as part of efforts to build capabilities in the African continent and develop research and academic cooperation between Egypt and Nigeria.

In a press release on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel Aati said Shoukry lauded distinguished relations binding Egypt with Nigeria as being two important pillars for common African action.

The Nigerian official thanked the Egyptian government for giving the delegation the opportunity to benefit from the Egyptian experiment in developing education.

During its Cairo visit, the delegation met with the education and higher education ministers as well as heads of research and studies centers.

Bande hoped that Egypt and Nigeria would join efforts to lay down a vision to address challenges besetting the African continent.
