Hundreds of judges staged a protest on Sunday outside the High Court of Justice against what they called \"an offensive launched by President Mohamed Morsi on the judiciary and judges.\" In a keynote speech during the protest, head of Judges\' Club Ahmed el-Zend voiced judges\' appreciation \"for the great people of Egypt.\" \"The Egyptians are able to express their opinion peacefully,\" he said. He urged the participants in mass protests nationwide on Sunday to keep the peaceful nature of their demonstrations. Opposition parties held mass demonstrations on Sunday, which marks Morsi\'s first anniversary in office, to call him to step down.
