Egyptian Minister of State for Urban Development Laila Iskandar held talks with Japanese and UN officials to discuss cooperation to reduce disaster risks.
"I met with members of Japan International Cooperation Organization on the sidelines of their participation in the activities of Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction," she told MENA correspondent.
Iskandar also said she held talks with officials of the United Nations Organization for Migration and the United Nations for Childhood and Motherhood "UNICEF".
UN officials voiced their readiness to cooperate with Egypt in executing national projects to reduce disaster risks, Iskandar said.
