There is no disagreement at all between the presidency and the army, asserted presidential spokesman Ihab Fahmy on Wednesday. \"The military is a national establishment we have all respect and appreciation for it,\" said Fahmi. He said that President Mohamed Morsi\'s meeting with Defense Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi on Tuesday is normal and came in a series of meetings convened by the president on a regular basis with members of the government. The spokesman dismissed a rumor that circulated yesterday on websites and social networking sites that President Morsi was poisoned. As regards to reports said that President Morsi promised European Union foreign policy Chief Catherine Ashton to change Prosecutor General Talaat Abdallah and the government to end the political crisis, the spokesman said the presidency was not in dispute with any of the political forces and \"we are not in need of an intermediary between us.\" He hailed the role of the the European Union as Egypt\'s largest trade partner. He asserted that relations between Egypt and the EU are based on mutual respect.
